England GB call it what you like but our 1st team should itself be in the emerging nations comp they are wholly and utterly useless, PNG have already shown us there almost at the same level and it would come as no surprise if any of the south sea island teams beat us. The Aussies will (if they choose) put a cricket score on us.

Not a classic but perhaps the missing anthem was due to the whether they should play the French or the Catalonian anthems?

Also in International RL the Cook Islands have continued their run of upsets. Last week they beat Samoa 22-20, who were heavily fancied to do well in the tournament to qualify for the Pacific cup (Meaning Samoa missed out) and today they've beaten Fiji (who made last years world cup semis) 24-22 in the competition proper.
Other Fixtures today.
Lebanon v Italy (European Cup)
Serbia v Wales (European Cup)
Papua New Guinea v Tonga (Pacific Cup)

Don't worry Iain, I'll stand away from you at anthem time. Certainly won't be singing our anthem. An anthem asks the Lord almighty to protect an unelected sponger... Had any member of the royal family been "gracious" enough to show up at the challenge cup final in however long it is since any of them have been there, I might have a different attitude towards them. Loving this game tonight. Speed, big hits, skill and a nice bit of biff. Forget nicking aussie coaching ideas and tv coverage styles, what we need to completely steal is how they develop the skills of kids through to professional players.
Oh, and I hate the nglish national anthem too. Singing about wanting something that doesn't exist to save someone who I don't care for. I may be wrong, but I'm sure I once heard that we are the only major democracy whose anthem is not actually about the country.
