We really do need to be sponsored by prozac next season
Turner, Myler, now possibly Steph. it's all becoming a joke !
Maybe we can all join in this new game :-
Quote:Heard it from a good source (add name of promising Salford Player here)is leaving for (add name of other club here , the more unbelievable the better) how much do you reckon we would get for him ?(think of a large lottery style amount , the more unfeasible the better), What d'you reckon to ( add name of ageing cripple , or tanked up Aussie ) as his replacement next season?
Just copy and paste into a new topic and you'll get us all wound up a bit more and provide another weeks hype for that players agent to use and RL Journo's to use as reseach ...

We've already blatantly lost Myler. Do you honestly believe that we would simply release a player who signed a 2 year contract last year with the option of a 3rd year, a hugely promising one and one whom we would get decent money from should he move on, simply because he liked the sound of the place. The club wouldn't deserve a place in Super League making decisions like that.
I feel for you i really do, i can't count the amount of world class players we have lost because they have asked to be released. Gaz Ellis, Benny Westwood & David Solomona for 3 in the last 5 years! You can't keep a player that want's to go elsewhere. If his heart isnt in it he won't perform.
Better off letting go and using the cap space to replace.
You can't really consider Salford to Wakefield a "side-step" though can you. Recent years tables and competition levels show he would be is moving to a better class of team, with a better class of personnel.
If a player asks to be released what would you do?

I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud

this hopefully is a terrible joke, but both players i am sure could well be in trouble tomorro when they meet up with the squad
who needs a rumour mill when players say it themselves, with out a press release i thnik there is some big trouble around the corner for both jordan and stef
the lack of ability to keep hold of promising young players, players that should be the backbone of a team for years to come has got me very concerned
i will still be there in the national leagues but i will have each person who is responsible's head in my front room

It is a complete sidewards step. If anything almost backwards. This can't be happening.
Now The Wire.

We outstrip you in every position except 6, coaching and player personnel. Crowds have been down but things aren't easy in households across the country too. And i can honestly say we have one of if not the best youth systems in the country. Look at the academy results, they don't lie!
(sidestep??)

Be realistic here. They have more chance of getting a stadium in the near future. Which will transform the club. Wakefield don't have more of a chance of winning a trophy than Salford. It would be pointless.

If I had to put money on Wakey or Salford to win something it would be Wakey by some way, no disrespect to Salford.
We are fighting it out for the top 8 where as Salford are no where near it and we will be doing the same next season.
On grounds I don't know where Salford are but Wakey are advancing now
