As anyone seen any evidence of when this is about to start because if it was going ahead like the club keep saying everything should be in place and ready to go but all we get is it will happen soon its about time we are told something concreate and not dont worry it will happen.

Wakefield and Cas are where we were 10 years ago but Wakefield Council have already said there will be no prob with planning permission for Cas stadium so that might quicken that up a bit.
but if Superleague is supposed to be a level playing field than
St Helens, Celtic, Bradford and Hull KR should all receive warnings, Bradford are having their ground revamped with cooperation (cash) from Bradford council.

I think that this letter seems to have come at an interesting time..
it was only a couple of weeks ago that John Wilkinson was quoted as saying that in discussions with the RFL they had made it clear that no actual building work being undertaken by the end of the year would mean that your next application would not be looked upon so favourably.
Now we have a letter from the RFL formalising a request to the clubs to buck their ideas up.
I think this letter gives some validity to the John Wilkinson quote and you may well have an actual time line to work against there.
I've noticed that there still haven't been any new diagrams showing how the stadium will be remodeled so god alone knows where you are up to on this thing.
No doubt your club will issue an all is well message soon enough, but it will be interesting to see whether they provide any facts this time.

Leigh won't even be able to apply luckily enough for you as i can't see them winning the nr cup or appearing in a grand final in the next couple of years. Halifax's ground is still not suitable, so you might just scrape in again. With regards Bradford's stadium, although it is a dump, unbelievably it does meet the criteria.

I can see the next news article now..... (remember this isn't real)
REDS IN FURTHER SETBACK
The building of the new Salford City Reds stadium based at Barton has received further setback it has been revealed.
Since the original idea to build a stadium on the wasteland at Barton, there have been a number of setbacks, from issues with the Highways agency to the finding of the protected Great crested newt. Now it seems that nature has reared it's ugly head again with the discovery of a very rare flower.
Scientists from the University of Manchester recently visited the site and discovered the Narcissus pseudonarcissus, common known as the wild daffodil, close to where the stadium is due to be constructed.
Barnsley West & Pennistone MP Albert S Posstlethwaite, vice chairman of the Flowers UK Investigation Team (F.U.K.I.T), spoke passionately about his feelings towards the protection of endangered plants and flowers. Posstlethwaite of Barnsley said 'This project cannot be allowed to happen unless everything has been done to ensure the protection of this rare, wild flower. The Wild Daffodil is very important to us, and is in fact the symbol of our association, which proves exactly how valued this type of flower is to us. We shall be taking this to parliament to ensure that everything is done in our power to relocate this precious flower before building can take place'
It is thought that this could impact the building of the stadium for 2 more years while scientists and members of FUKIT work their way through every inch of the 80 acres to ensure all traces of the Wild Daffodil are removed and relocated.
Senior Reds officials are expected next week to visit the headquarters of FUCKIT next week with aims to come to some kind of agreement to speed things up, but they are not in a positive frame of mind following this latest knock-back. A source close to the club said 'We all love flowers, they are a symbol of peace and harmony. I love peace and harmony... I love giving the ladies flowers, I'm a ladies man, but we need to get this stadium back on track, and this isn't helping.
It's understood Reds chief executive David Tarry will display a cutting gathered from Barton at next months Southport Flower Show.
Keen gardener and Reds legend David Watkins said 'Well at least if Salford ever get to Wembley, they'll know where to go for the button holes. As a Welshman, I'm an avid daffodil grower and I say good luck to Salford, they've stumbled across a pot of welsh gold. I'd love to be in Southport with them next month, but after just coming back from South Africa with the lions, my lawn needs cutting'
This is a bitter pill to swallow for the Reds in their attempt to be ready for the next round of franchises for 2012, as bosses must be wondering what will strike them down next to stop the building of this iconic Salford stadium.
