Would it be fair to say that the layout of the stadium, with regards to seated and terraced areas, has been decided without due consideration of the existing supporters? A case of giving them (the supporters) what we (the club, council, Peel) want them to have rather than what they ACTUALLY want?

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The original plans had side line standing terracing for 2000. I think a big question is why the club didn't push for the seated areas to be in the main stand and both ends. They could then have seating along the standing side in phases 2 &3 ( if they ever materialize)

Who knows? There could be a dozen reasons - planning permission, design sign-off, slipped minds to do a fans consultation, haste as Red City Developments went belly up and the clubs plan disintegrated leaving no time to consult the fans.....? I'm just glad that the promise to deliver a new ground has been fulfilled (unlike some other clubs) and we have something shiny and new to be proud of next year.
What I do know is, that come what may, it doesn't matter where you stand or sit, all you need to do is make some noise!!!

There's some research somewhere that argues that being sat down in a stadia reduces the atmosphere. It's not as easy to sing etc... when sat down. And we all know the stewards won't allow us to stand up in the new stadium.

Yes but generating an atmosphere isn't the important bit , looking nice with rows and rows of shiny seats when empty is much more important than that
Are they going to have SCR picked out in red in the green seats ?

Surely you must be used of that by now where Salford are concerned Fungus..
