Yep because my wife came to the game (her 1st this season because of health issues) and she would be unable to stand for the duration of the game, unfortunately leeds dont have faciliities where you can sit in the away end so we decided to go there instead of not going at all, plus im a believer in if you in an opposition stand you dont take the mick, yep clap your team but dont go ott.
her health at the moment is my main concern at present rather than roaring the team on, ill leave that to others at present.

Can you tell me when the team was sh*t? When United were at the same stage Salford are at now? Yo-Yoing between 1st and 2nd Divison on a regular basis, with a low crowd, with no money, playing unattractive football because i would like to know because it hasnt happened in our life time, even when they were relegated in 73 (im probably wrong im no stato) that team were by all account (espn classic and what older supporters have said) attractive to watch.
Though Utds history they have been succesful, might not be Champions every season but they have won FA cups, League cups, playing in europe and when they didnt win cups Utd always seemed to get to the latter stages of competions, builds hopes and Dreams in supporters GT.
As a supporter of United im in a totally different mindset to when im watching salford because i know when the chips are down and somthing needs to be done to win a game it will happen at United at Salford more often than not we end up falling on our own sword at the crutial moment, it might sound mental but when ive had dreams about salford playing and we never score, we'll knock on, we'll throw the ball in touch, we'll get pulled back by a deciton because we've all seen it happen so much its ingraved (there was one when Myler crashed over at warrington v wigan in a challege cup semifinal but the grounding was dodgy and i woke up before the video ref gave it

).
I think we have our wires crossed regarding Ballooning, I agree the Drummer at Portsmouth looks a bit of a tool (if it is his way of expressing himself at games and it makes him happy when who are we to stand in his way)but its not my game.
Balooning for me is Warrington away when they stuck 50 on us and the salford end started a "Red Army" chant which lasted about 10 mins, everyone was jumping around having fun nobody cared it was just fun.
The beer does help at salford but as somebody who is drinking less and less its not the be all and end all when trying to have fun at matches
Friday was good, The Away support was very good even with the lack of numbers and it was good to be on the other side of the fence because sometimes if your "in it" you dont feel it.

we will all be ballooning like k#ob heads in the shed
To be fair i love it when me and GT have our little verbal "tay tar tays" on here, he is a well educated and straight to the point man unlike me and knows his way around a debate, it was even better when we use too stand together in the shed and we'd bitch at each other all game over decitons or incidents in games then go for a beer after and laugh about it we still do it now but it aint the same, unfortunatley he departed to the "jeb end" for a quieter and less stressful friday night so i was left alone to my own divises, i feel ive mellowed a lot since them days but he still wont come back and play
