Still want to give Stef a slap for making my heart stop when I read the thread on here though?!
However, no-one has slagged 'reds boy' off for posting the original message on here about it (not that I think they should) and it was actually him that started all the worry, NOT Ratchford/Turner who were having a laugh 'privately'.
On their part it was a bit naive but nothing worse - certainly NOT unprofessional, disrespectful or disgusting. Some people on here either need to get a sense of humour or stop believing every rumour they read.
The one positive thing I do hope comes out of this is that Stef realises just how gutted everyone was at the thought of him leaving.
Maybe some people’s sense of humour will return if the team manage to concede fewer than 62 points tonight?
I'd hardly call taking a rumour seriously that originated from the players themselves as "believing everything you read".
While I do agree with what's been said that I would far prefer our players to be involved in these sort of antics rather than those that have made the headlines so far this season, and also in hindsight I do find it quite amusing how they managed to (possibly inadvertently...) kick up such a fuss over it, given the interest that has been garnered over a number of our players this season you can't expect people not to get a bit nervous about it.

It's not 'personal'. It is on Facebook and fans have viewed the messages. If they are talking about in a pub or having such conversations via email or SMS, then fair enough

Where do you think he would rather be?
A) no.6 partner to DB at Wakefield- playing with quality players for the top 6 of the play-offs?
or
B) At salford playing anywhere but his prefered position, getting told "f**k off to Wakie then, ya s**t!" from people in the shed?
Not having a dig, but you have to listen to Kear when he said what you need to do as a club, believe him and believe us! we have been there (and deeper & darker) before! I know it's hard but you have to pull together and pull tighter, we all know what's coming up in 2 years and a club like either of ours on self-destruct mode has about as much chance as you have finding a looker in Castleford!

Sandal - its a no brainer as Stef is going nowhere but your comments about some of the riff raff are correct and we need to somehow clean our act up.
I think the new stadium will do 2 things :-
a) Stewards will be there to Identify idiots and ensure they never see a home game again
b) Be too far out for many of the oiks to bother as it will be like going to an away game for them.

Don't be overly surprised early september when this whole issue can go public.

On Stef I would be staggered if the Cats can come up with the £400k for buying out the 2 years left on his contract. Have the Cats got a new Arab on the Board? Your club - like all bar Warrington, Rhinos & the Pies have no money to invest that way.
On the Ground. Well any statement is down to Peel. If its September then all well and good.

mutual termination. if a player asks to leave what can you do?
where has 400k come from anyway! Gaz Ellis only cost 100k and lets face it i think there is a slight difference in quality.

1) Mutual termination means just that chum. Two sides to every contract. I think you will find the watertight contract locked securely in the safe will give the Salford fans a lot of pleasure in the next couple of years and maybe beyond.
2) £400k Yes may well have under estimated his worth there. Worth every penny too if you ask my opinion. In any valuation you have to look at the word `potential`. Forwards who can tackle come ten a penny. Jewels like Stef with good hands, good feet and vision are worth their weight in Gold.
