| Highlight of the match for me was Tommy Lee's drop goal attempt! I think it was a drop goal attempt anyway, found it hilarious.
I don't think anyone really had a bad game, though there's obviously room for improvement across the park.
Morley's break was fantastic, a shame he didn't make it on his 300th SL appearance. Chase was involved in every one of our tries. Johnson was brilliant, glad he finally got a try this season, as I've mentioned elsewhere he's unlucky with the service he gets. Dobson had some nice touches & his kicking game was a breath of fresh air.
I think I could go on and highlight positives from every player, and that's a refreshing, recent change. Team spirit looks as good as it's ever been in recent years.
The only negatives for me were the crowd. Both the lack of one, even though I thought it was larger than the Hull mtach, and the negativity. I honestly wonder why some of them bother turning up; slating players all match, shouting abuse etc. I found it odd that people were chanting Theo's name when Dobbo hardly gained any metres from a penalty, Theo would have kicked it downfield and gained us 80m wouldn't he? Right?
Definitely things to work on & some players need match fitness/are carrying knocks, this will sort itself out though. Cas will be touch on Friday, they'll have had 8 days licking their wounds in anticipation of setting things right but I'm confident this Solly team can keep the ball rolling for a change.

Agreed 100%, 2 points and 6th in the table, I think we'd all have settled for that at the start of the season!
Re the service to Johnson, I love watching Junior Sau, his commitment, strength and determination are great to see but I am wondering if we've secretly recruited Stuart Littler as a specialist coach for passing from the centre position? Mind you Stuart always knew where the try line was too

| Firstly, the booing of Dobson and the chanting of “Theo, Theo” in a blatant protest over the inclusion of Dobson sums up the mindset of some of our supporters. Pathetic.
I also thought in defence, Dobson was spot on. Still hasn’t clicked going forward yet, but you’d expect that on only his second start in a Salford shirt. Theo has had the advantage of being with this group from the beginning, whereas Dobson hasn’t. I’m sure given time he will excel. That said, when he came on Theo was brilliant again.
MOM was rightly given to Scot Taylor, who I criticised following the Saints game. More than happy to hold my hands up and say he has proved me wrong, since the Hull game he’s been our best prop. Shame we’ve only got him for one season. Greg Johnson a close second who was fantastic in both defence and attack, he looked like he was sick and tired of recent no ball in the last few games and went looking for anything and everything. Finished his try well too.
I spoke with Rangi after the game, he hadn’t trained all week and BJB was still carrying a knee injury. I was pleased to see Kevin Locke get another 80 minutes under his belt, again he looked solid at the back and we’re seeing an improvement in his performances.
Conclusion; not our best game. Improvements in defence, but not clinical enough in attack. We should have put Wakefield away much sooner than we did and it was criminal the game was still as close as it was going into the final few minutes.

| Delighted we won, obviously, and agree about some of the good performances
Mozza's run was worth the admission money alone and hadn't realised what a good player Hauraki is.
The only negative is that we remain very much less than the sum of our parts.
We'd have settled for 6th after 5 games, and only losing to Wire away, and Saints.

| Started of slow but after Johnsons try we seem to play miles better. I think going forward we can score try's for fun against anyone but we really need to kill games off. After Hull Catalans and Wakefield game i haven't got any finger nails left. Thought Walton had a brilliant game when he came on yesterday. It was good to see BJB and Dobson on the pitch, ok they made a few mistakes but they are just getting back to full fitness. Best bit of the game was when rangi patted the badge when he scored

| Well i have read some of what has been written about the match yesterday, and i must of been at a diff match from some of you.
The first 20 mins we were awful, and very lucky not to be at least 18 points down, with a diff referee we could well of been, this one had not read the anti Salford rule book written by the head of refs. the decisions he gave were the right ones forward passes etc, but out players were so out of place and didnt even look like a team , so once again i say we were lucky to be still holding onto the game, those penatlys dont norm go our way. The fans are on the players backs .
Round about that time Theo comes on the pitch>>>>>> and the game changes alltogether, Rangi comes alive the team wakes up, the fans are with the team, dont get me wrong it was not a walk in the park, but Theo changed things, and then in the second half, Theo is taken of injured /tactics god only knows, but the team lost there way again and we struggled to hold to a win.
Now if i can see that Theo is adding sumthing to the team when he is on the pitch, unless the lad is injured he must start every week for me,
Harris said every player has to prove he is good enough and will not be selected by name alone, maybe Theo should change his name. im not against any certain player but why play a player if he is not match fit/ fully fit when we have another team player who can play in his position who is fully fit just amazes me.

Agreed but Tasi also made a big impact in terms of changing the momentum of the game. Best forward on the pitch by a country mile.

| I like Theo and think he'll be one of our halves for years to come if we keep hold of him. He's still young though, and there's room for improvement. He's a great attacking player, personally I see him as more of a 6 than a 7. He plays his heart out every time he's on the pitch and that goes a long way.
On the other hand, he's a nightmare in defense at times, so many times he just gets knocked on his rear or bounces off defenders.
He had some good runs yesterday & went well. He also got knocked about a bit in defence. Along with Walton he let Wakey in for an easy 2nd try.
I was hoping he'd fill out a bit more but that's starting to look less and less likely unfortunately, he really could do with a bit of a late growth spurt!

| Some of Salford fans love affair with Theo is embarrassing. I got cained of a group of peole on twitter because I dared to critise his performance. His game only is to run from dummy half. He can't kick, can't pass with speed and precision, gets run over all time in defence. His enthusiasm is great don't get me wrong, but he's not this player people make out, he could turn into good player but at the minute he no where near.

You made a fair point, then ballsed it up by exaggerating the reasons.
He's a work in progress. Still learning and very young. He's got good pace, he's a tough little player, and his passing speed and accuracy are higher than most, so I don't know who you've been watching for the last few years. He will be a fine player given time. Most people can see this.
I'm presuming you got fleeced at a French restaurant, or your wife ran off with an onion seller or something.

I do watch, he does that daft pop up pass where the ball rotates vertically and if he has to make a medium to long range pass, he swings his arms so far back, it predictable pass. I stand by what I say, he being used as a interchange hooker and inject pace into the game and he doing an OK job that all. His plays are predictable aswell, running sideway, then a pop up pass. I'm not put the kid down as no player is without fault. My gripe is with the fans who have put him this peddistool, booing a seasoned pro who is alot better than Theo, is ridiculous. Some of our fans have not got a clue, its embarrassing.
The game is about opinions though and mine is just that, I'm prepared to be shotdown if he turns into this world class player people think he already is....

| I honestly don't know how anyone can criticize Theo. I've never seen him have a bad game for Salford since his arrival.
His defence is quality for his size and he plays well above his weight. Don't forget he's only just 20 years old. Imagine what he will be like at 26...frightening I tell you!
I know he likes to play at Scrum Half but I have always seen him as a Hooker because of his defence capabilities and workrate.
He does need to improve his kicking game, especially his long range one. I'm sure Dobson and Chase can't help him there no problem.

I think most people do rate him.
Some people vastly overrate him though. He's a good player who always seems to put in 100%, he'll hopefully become a great player that we build a team around but that time isn't now.
I'd disagree on his defence, that's his biggest downfall by far. If he stays in the halves he can get away with it a lot more than at hooker. If he's moulded more into the hooker role he'll probably be limited to coming on as an impact player against tiring defenses and I think that would be doing him a disservice.
As I said earlier, I see him as more of a 6 than a 7, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes that spot his own when Rangi moves on. Assuming we don't keep buying halves and force him out of the team.

This.
I love Tasi & Walton just on their vitality, them + Fages injected go forward, and turned the game.
Fages is 20, 44 SL games under his belt and Salfords longest serving player. There should always be a place for him as he is our future not the 1-2 year imports.
