Yep probably if the club want a big crowd in there the easy way would be to supply chips and other snacks, perhaps a pound for a small plate saves people having to up sticks trudge outside and que up for ten mins at a burger van then trudge back in.
I hope the club keep this thing up through the season, this kind of thing if included in the marketing for the games shud increase attendances.
I also hope us fans try and bring a few new people down over the season, i know £18 is a lot of money but when you say you get a re-run of a classic match, a live match then a gig after all for £18 it in my eyes doesnt seem to bad when u divide it by 3, that and the fact the club has offers on it will probably be even cheaper.
Personally i think this wollowing in self pity and negativity about our club and the direction it is going shud stop, me i look out there and see a team outthere who is made up of kids, who havt achieved anything but have the ability to do so, if they didnt have it they'd be stood in the stands with us they arnt the finished article but we have given them the chance to perform at the very top level, a chance which they will take given the right support both on and off the field. Off the field it sounds like the club is giving it a go with the little cash they have they seem to have delivered what us fans have asked for making the match an occation and not a turn up watch the match and go home jobbie which is what salford has turned into sadly over the years.
Im sure there will be teething problems tomorrow with tickets, ticket machines, loud tannoys, unrulley kids, dodgy beer but the club need time to straighten the problems out.
I just hope the club stick to their guns and run the fun all season and doesnt can it when our fanbase doesnt turn up in their hundreads after the 1st 5 games
