very good point. But i know my grandad for one loves watching the challenge cup on bbc as he cant afford sky and cant get to games.

I can understand the decision from the BBC's perspective. The final nail in the coffin must have been the France v Australia match they showed live where there were more in the brass band than on the terraces!

It hurts to say but the BBC have probably weighed it all up and thought we will put our money into a sport that has more general interest with higher national audience figures like Rugby Union.

Richard Lewis should have walked after the France Australia fiasco, the match should have been played in Perpignan or at Toulosse football stadium where it would have been virtually sold out, but no take the game to Paris a non rugby league playing area, methinks simples.
