Imagine if it had been us, Franchise removed and relegated to the third division.

I know a certain person on here who used to be married to a foreign national who came to live in this country and was given the incorrect visa by the government, and yet still flew in and out of the country 5 times on those documents without any trouble and when the 'error' came to light the people in the consulate simply said these mistakes happen.



Feel sorry for the players as I doubt if they are culpable in this in the slightest yet have had their livelyhoods taken away from them, let us hope that this isnt the end of the club down there.

I think it's still too early to speculate that the RFL will throw them out as the Crusaders will already have had plans in place for next year and I dare say that some of those players named may well have been released? If anything, it might even accelerate any plans they have to get some more local Welsh players playing our great game and up to Super League standard (and we know only too well here at the Willows what quality Welsh players have brought to our game in the past).



If indeed the decision is that their licence is revoked then Widnes may well be a strong contender but I would also suspect that the winner of the Championship GF would also be a strong candidate too in a rather long list of hopefuls!

Sad thing is the RFL are letting same thing happen @ Gateshead!

What a disgrace the people who run the game are if they had any balls they would kick them out now, although it will still be Salford that get kicked out come next franchise

In my opinion Celtic Crusaders should be kick out of the Super League and replaced by Widnes Vikings....



The RFL want a big kick up the rear for allowing any club to get into this sort of a mess, but knowing the RFL they will try if they can to cover things up just like they have always done in the past.

years ago I used to work for the Jobcentre as a part time auditor (proper job section manager) but the number of errors that were made resulting in overpayments was just astounding and that was the same excuse, "these mistakes happen," of the claims i checked 60% had errors on them. These people are still in employment with the Jobcentre costing us millions because they are incapable of doing the job and their employment rights means the jobcentres are incapable of sacking them.

There must be hundreds of thousands of REAL undesirables living in this country.

Why?



The club hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. It's just the players. If we assume that the club is innocent in all of this, why should the fans suffer for six players who didn't fill out their forms correctly?

Because as an employer it is your legal duty to ensure that those you employ are eligible to work in this country. There is no room for doubt - the Home Office website shows exactly what the qualifying criteria are - I don't think there can be any doubt at all - the club are guilty.

Its all a big fuss over nothing. The RFL will throw more money at them so they survive. There is no way they will let them fail.

Of course there is room for doubt. There is always room for doubt.



If the players lied on their forms, that alone creates room for doubt. We do not know what they did to attract the punishment they have been given.

If the club are found guilty of anything they'll probably just get docked the usual 2 points. Now if they are unfortunate enough to go into administration they'll have the book thrown at em (probably not in a Rochdale way but in a London way if you get me). They come out of it ok either way.

I think it was the terms of employment....they were employed by some company and were playing RL as a hobby...this was a couple of yrs ago..iirc

If this is true SS, then I think the club do have to pay the price. At first I was thinking that perhaps the players should take some responsibility, but if the club was complicit in blatant misdeclaration to obtain visas then they should be punished.

That was mentioned but was it the reason for the deportations? The story was in connection with their finances, not visas, so the two may not be connected at all.

I think the RFL is correct not to comment YET.



Lets wait and see why the visas are incorrect, what changed from the previous 2 years for the likes of Van Dyke.



As for not having a stadium, neither do we, Wigan, Hull FC etc.



The Welsh game at grass roots has grown, as it has in london and the professional clubs help this happen.



If they are being paid by another employer then there are breaches of the cap, if only in spirit.



However if this is a fraud at many levels the RFL need to punish them.

There have been similar problems in some of the local cricket leagues with overseas professionals although the visa problems appear to have been picked up before the players landed here.



The contracts are the clubs problem and in cricket copies have to be lodged at the League HQ, in this case Red Hall and presumably a copy of each visa would also be lodged at Red Hall.



There have been rumblings over this matter for some while and it was said that it concerned visas from a couple of years ago but clearly there is more to it than first thought.



What if a weakened Celtic team gets beaten by a large score which results in one team getting into the play offs and another misses out?

RFL have now issued a statement saying err err...............................





that they are not saying anything, but they don't check players eligability to work in this country.

1) Getting everyone here

2) Getting a great standard of player here
