They have always reminded me of Salford in a lot of ways, and we do have a link with them due to the players we have had from them in the past.
The one Grand Final they have won came totally out of the blue and the try Benjii scored is still a classic.
Its easy supporting St George and the Broncos bit like Wigan and Saints
BTW I asked someone at Sky when I was trying to reduce my bill (no chance) about ARL.
They stilldo not know who will get it,but know how popular it is in this country plus Fox are owned by Murdoch who owns Sky so fingers crossed it will come back to them.
Well, like I say, if a tv copmany 'has' to have the rights then sky all the way imo.
Yeah, I've copped a bit following the Dragons but I can honestly say I started to do so before this year. In fact, as soon as Wayne Bennett had signed with them. Suppose i'm more of a fan of Wayne's than the Dragons but hey, they're top of the comp and I'm loving it.
Interesting club Wests Tigers. Dunno if you've ever been to Sydney but the geography of their club always confuses me. They are obviously the merged version of the Wests Magpies and the Balmain Tigers. Wests Magpies are a team based in the the low working class area of the Western suburbs around Campbelltown. About an hour and 20 minutes from the city. Balmain are a club based in Leichardt near to Balmain in the city's inner wes a working to middle class area just 15 minutes from the city. They have absolutely nothing in common really but somehow they are now 1 and the same. To add an extra bit of flavour to this odd mix, the majority of their 'home' fixtures are played out east in the Roosters catchment of Moore Park!
How they ever made it work I'll never know.
