Against St. Helens, Stef got man of the match, not just for his two tries, but for the way he controlled the game and the way he kicked saints into submission, turning Wellens nearly every time. After the Celtic game McRae said they had a better kicking game than us!!!!!now whos fault is that???

The Centre positions should have been strengthened pre-season. Fair enough Talau was in theory a brilliant signing as no-one could have predicted he'd miss so many games given his past record. However, take out Talau and what have we got..................very little.
Turner and Littler have made most appearances as Centres and with one first choice winger at full back and the other out for the season combined with a stand off who's the worst signing since Junior Langi and scrum half who wants away is it any wonder we've struggled to make an impact.
Our back division is a JOKE
We have 1 quality back committed to Salford - Ratchford. The least the Coach can do is reward his loyalty and talent and get him in the team in his rightfull position WEEK IN, WEEK OUT!!
It looked to me as though Myler was not 100%.
Whether that was because of his heel injury, or as a result of when he got clattered in the first half, or because he wasn't bothered, I don't know.
I think if Turner had been fit, he'd have started in the centres, with Ratchford retaining his stand off spot, and Myler lucky to get on the bench.
When we were chasing the game in the last 10-15 mins, the obvious move to me, was to take off Myler, move Ratchford to stand off, and put Walton in the centres.
Instead we continue 5 drives (if we managed to keep hold of the ball) and a kick, unless we get a scrum 15 metres out and kick on the first.....!!!???

I have been consistent in my view that our coach has not got a clue.
He is going the right way here to forcing one of the best players we have out of the club.
We have players who can play in the centres but our great coach would rather shift the talented players to unfamiliar positions.
Henry should have been put to centre, Wilshere to wing and Eddie Vaughan brought in at full back.
Then Myler and Stef the halfback pairing and Smith where he should be on the bench.
This way we would have had
1/The best halfback pairing playing together again
2/ A centre playing where he should be
3/ Wishere has played on the wing most of his Salford career
4/ Vaughan should be given a go to see if he can hack it in SL

the slug could noit pick his nose let alone a good salford team , why does he continue to pick smith ,the worse stand off i have ever seen wear a salford shirt ,slug do the right thing ,stop picking your favourites and you and simms foooook off out of our club and give someone else a chance
Its not team selection that's killing us in these games,it's dropping the ball.Last night,Adamson knocked-on on the second tackle of the game in our own 20.Result,we are desperately defending when we should be putting them under pressure with a kick from around half-way.
We knocked on 3 times in our own 20 in the 1st half, the last one led to their first try.
Again in the 1st half,we had a play the ball in the corner 5 yds out, everyone lined out across the pitch and Wilshere knocks on at the play the ball.
IMO the lads are putting the effort in,we lost to a Cas team that have only lost two games away from home and we lost by 6 points, not a disaster.Certainly not a reason to sack the coach and throw beer and abuse at certain players.
As i've posted on here before,if we cut out the errors we are competitive with anyone as the games at Hull in the cup, away at Leeds and Hudds and home against Saints prove.
This isn't down to the coach, but individual players mistakes in the heat of the moment.

i aree but i Think its fair to say that he isnt in mcraes plans as the obvious thing would be wilshire at centre, rachford at 6 and smith at 7 with myler on bench would solve a problem. Everyone has their favourites even in an injury crisis.
