So the margin of only 26 points and not the mauling we received against two lesser teams is NOT acceptable whoever it is against.. After opening match this season is turning in to a disaster..This Macrae is USELESS....(in my humble opinion of course and forums are for stating opinions)
I think you need to get a little perspective.
We've been very poor over the last few games and it will take gradual improvement over time, especially with team confidence, before you will see any change in our fortunes. You can't wave a magic wand and turn an under-performing low-morale team into a side that can play away to anyone (Let alone Saints) and get a result.
I understand some fans frustration at the moment but it is a long 3 year haul and overly negative sentiment should probably be reserved for the second or third season when performance will be more crucial.

Some of our line defence was shocking again though and we still didn't look like scoring for most of the game...I'm not going to get carried away just yet - it was an improvement for sure but after the last 2 performances that wouldn't have been hard to achieve.
Onto Wigan and, for me, a huge huge game - I am not at all impressed with this Wigan team/squad and we should be aiming to at least compete from the start in this game and beat them if we play well.
300 Salford fans
More like 100 you mean as for your team with quite a few injurys fair enough are very poor with Robbie Paul stealing a wage and should have retired years ago and ain't upto superleague standard.

I saw a few of the tries on the box last night and having been at the Quins game last week an area you seem weak is goal line defence in the middle. Last week you let Jo Mbu and Heckenburg in easily and last night Graham, Cunningham plus one other got in for what looked like soft tries.
Your pack appears to be big and experienced I wonder if they are fit and tough.

As OrdsallRed said, it was an improvement, but we were still pretty poor in some areas of both defense and attack. In the first half we had some decent pressure on the saints line and only threatened anything on one tackle out of about 18 - the rest were predictable drives.
One one hand, 20 at half time was harsh considering the two late tries, but we also have to be realistic and realise that Saints were certainly out of sorts and dropped more ball that I've seen them do for some time. If their handling was up to normal standard, they woudn't have needed two late tries for a 20-0 score.
Positives for me are the youngsters getting more game time and showing more confidence - as someoene else has commented somewhere, I thought Turner looked really good when he was allowed to come in from centre and moved to hooker. Fitzy, who I thing has been awful previously this season was much improved, taking the high ball well on plenty of occasios and chiming into the line well - but I am concerned about his fitness and on one occasion he fell of a tackle because he just looked shattered. Despite the execution going wrong, I see Alker going for touch from a 20m tap as a positive sign that there is a bit of thinking on the pitch.

There were at best 100, and i actually thought it could have been as low as 30-40
It was certainly on a par with the support seen from the likes of Quins or Huddersfield.
Disgusting attendance from Salford considering there 20mins down the east lancs
Widnes brought more for the friendly we had and i for one thought Salford are very lucky to be in superleague.
Should have been Widnes
