Can anyone think of any positives he has brought to our club?? im not a fan of him personally (never have been) just wondered what others views were??

Whatever he's not he is high profile in the super league and he has a TV presence that sees our clubs badge swirling around everytime he's on Sky, in much the same way R.Paul had the same influence over the last two years.

Other than that I'm unsure ?

hes not been the best but not the worse to be honest.last 10 years i think rhino has been our best coach.mcrae has pulled out a few good perfomace out of the hat like the leeds st helens bradford wins from last season.like i said hes not the best but i dont think a high class coach will come to us to be honest.but it dont help that salford fans after one home game booing him and the team after 10 minutes against crusaders.

We are not going to attract world-class coaches. The best thing we can do is stick with one and give the club stability, at least for the transition period to the new stadium. Some fans have to face facts that we are not the sleeping giants they seem to think we are. At least not yet.

Like said he's not the best but not the worst, what makes you wonder though is when we do pull off them results like saints and leeds, why can't we play like that most games? instead of a select few? is that down to mcrae or the players commitment? It's like when city play united, they seem to find that extra 10-15%.

Shaun McRae has implemented a predictable ‘damage limitation’ game plan that is occasionally successful and relies on playing virtually mistake free football, the ref being unbiased and the opposition having an off day/night.

The problem is this kind of game plan would be much more effective with a higher caliber of players that are capable of pulling a few rabbits out of the hat. No disrespect to our lads but it's such a long shot at odds of about 8/1 each match in my opinion!

Personally I would prefer us to adopt a more aggressive, highly motivated 'In your face' off the cuff style. I realise that this may not necessarily guarantee more wins but i'm sure it would give the fans more heart and entertain us.

The jurys still out for me(even after nearly 3 years). He talks a good game but to be Salford coach you need to be a good motivator and give them a kick up the booty every now and again. Even in NL1 we often struggled in games we should have been winning comfortably. The recruitment has been up and down, Henry, Swain are top drawer but Jeremy Smith blows hot and cold(usually freezing cold). He's a good bloke, but then again Alan Titchmarsh is a good bloke, coaching is another matter

Is doing the best he is capable of with limited resources.

I personally would have got rid last season and gone for Noble. I think Noble's impact at Crusaders speaks for itself. Why we missed that opportunity is beyond me. I also actually believe that Noble by virtue of appearances on the BBC is much higher profile than Mr Talk A Good Game (but rarely deliver).

I don't know what the Answer is too this qustion but, I think because he is a Gentleman and we know how Wilky likes respectable people in his business maybe that is what has kept him in the Job. I think we could go far with somebody like John Kear in charge! And hopefully when we move to our new stadium either Kear or Millward will be our headcoach and maybe Shaun will be moved upstairs to become Coporate Manager or the like.
