I love the BBC's view on Rugby League....as the previous programme ended, the announcer said....''next, we have the Antiques Roadshow.....but if you live in the 'north' of england, we have the Superleague Show'....special emphasis on the word 'north'....like we're from Greenland or somewhere....I find it weird! Then, that bint with a voice akin to Lemmy from Motorhead hosts the show with some has-been from New Zealand....I tell ya, it's outrageous!

The Red Riding mini-series on Channel 4 probably didn't help matters. Brief synopisis: corrupt Yorkshire police force keep themselves to themselves; ‘to the North — where we do what we bloody want’.
