It could have been us

I was there that day and had a nice wager at 7/1 Sheffield I often wondered who the blokes in false beards and dark glasses were placing bets on Sheffield as well.

Salford at No 2 , but I would have thought ours was the biggest upset Full timers v Part timers whereas Wembley 1998 was two full time outfits in the same division

If only that semi-final had been on St Crispin's Day

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

If only Scott Naylor would have passed
If only Phil Cousins would have left that ball alone

but from adversity may rise the phoenix to slay the dragon
and bring back the spoils from a French Field
