As only Chico is a Times reader, here is the Salford position and entry
13. Salford City Reds
"Coach: Shaun McRae (Aus, June 2007). Captain: Malcolm Alker. Player to watch: Stefan Ratchford - visionary young English stand-off. Rising star: Jack Spencer. 2009: Super League: thirteenth. Challenge Cup: quarter-finals. Attendance: 4,390.
Robbie Paul's verdict: A tough season approaches as Salford have seen a host of players leave and the club has looked to up and coming talent to mature into the first team. No big signings from Down Under, although they have recruited a number of solid players from around Super League and abroad. The Reds welcome back from injury St Helens legend Willie Talau, who is a much needed strike weapon out wide. ODDS: 150-1."

Sad preacher nailed upon the coloured door of time;
Insane teacher be there reminded of the rhyme.
There'll be no mutant enemy we shall certify;
Political ends, as sad remains, will die.
No qualms with 13th position as an outsider's prediction; it is an understandable presumption. Salford need to win 3 or 4 more matches than last year just to get into 12th (based on the average points total that position has commanded in recent seasons), although that's doable if we're [much] stronger at home in 2010. Here’s hoping for a black swan.
