[quote="Bigpev"]where do you advertise it for one, Wigan did 6 weeks of radio and newspaper ads, last night a bloke asked me if there was a game on and who were Salford playing whilst I was on WEASTE LANE, so even the neighbours don't know when the games are on.
If the club put stuff in the Advertiser most people don't see plus e sometimes don't get the paper until Saturday morning so too late for the Catalan game.
Last night a couple of things did for me first was the new PR man introducing himself to the DJ in the Willows, now how long has the DJ been there so our PR man has not bothered with the fans in the Willows. But by far the worst was the cock up of the Minutes silence for Ron, if we can not get that right what hope have we got for anything else. One other thing anyone bother to buy a programme last night, look at the results page it says we won at Warrington, who is writing this rag Stalin.
My to god children go to school in bolton where i live, and they was visited by wigan players , first team or accadamy not sure, but they did a few hours of ball handling and basic rugby skills with the kids, witch i was told was a massive success and all the kids now wanna play rugby , they was then given free entry tickets to the wigan v leeds game and half price adult tickets for mum and dad

....... from what i know my to god children went along whith there mum and a few others from there school, now i wasnt happy as i take both my god children and my own two kids to salford as often as i can and i know that they love goin, but when they come back from there singing wigan, wigan , wigan and wanting a drum then ................ ? We realy need to look at our marketing because it aint working .
Would like to add that salford city reds dont mean just advertise around salford for salford people and salford schools like they been doing for years, I lived in moss side when my mum said that she was goin to watch a rugby game in salford and i went along , and have now been goin for over 20 years. and have introduced a few people to the game over the years, probably around 25 of witch 8 of them were born and still live in warrington

but they love salford rlfc , think the point im tryin to make here is that maybe they need to look a little further than salford for support, A nd one last poin i would like to make is when i first started to watch salford there used to be hundreds of kids lining the pitch now there are a few dozen , dont know if its the friday night games ,but always thought that kids were our future
