Just to change the angle of this a little... what is it that disappoints people so much about this whole scenario ?

Being the small club again ?
Loyalty ?
Lack of ambition ?

What is it ?

Personally... I'm disappointed with the way these things are carried out. I'm disappointed that Martin Offiah is conducting business this way... I don't like the whole agent thing. The guy is a legend in the game without question. I'm still proud to have seen him in a Salford shirt... and admire the tries he scored in the game. When I'm an old man... I'll still be proud to have witnessed him playing our beloved game... he was a class act. For the tries he scored and the image he gave the game... he deserves a living out of the sport... but not at the expense of us.
Myler is very good, but 2nd only to sean long? Personally i would put Rob Burrow ahead of Long either way. Perhaps Offiah has forgot about Mr Burrow?
I agree I think Burrow, is better than Myler at this point. Myler has to improve his defence somewhat for me to be stating he is the second best half back in the country.

Thats the money shot, Does Offiah agent for other people of a simular standard to Myler or is he the jewel in the crown if you know what i mean.
Partime Dj / Part time agent probably gives you the correct answer.
Today's League Express is carrying an interview with Martin Offiah in which he claims that Richie Myler has turned down Salford's contract offer.

It does seem ridiculous to me that half way through a three year contract we should have to suffer all this nonsense and uncertainty. Richie Myler still has seventeen or eighteen months left on his contract I think. I do think Mr Offiah is trying to build up his reputation as an agent; if Richie had an agent who didn't court publicity as much or wasn't trying to build up his reputation as an agent perhaps things might have been conducted away from the Sports' Pages and TV programmes.
Well said mate. Totally agree with the above statement.

He'll have told him what he thinks he should do... and that will be to turn down the Salford offers and get set for a Warrington move. Myler has already said that he's leaving it up to his agent... which from that quote alone says that the offer is being refused by Offiah.

Either way... as an agent... Offiah will benefit financially whatever the option... he'll just benefit more if he goes with Warrington.

Offiah may well be doing his best to get Myler to Warrington. However the decision is still Myler's.

And has for 'leaving it up to his agent' - you're being a bit silly if you're implying that this means that he is letting Offiah make the decision. The reality is that if Myler signs for another team, Warrington or otherwise, it will be because that's what he wants to do and doesn't want to play for Salford any more. Money may well pay a massive part in that but the reality is that it's still his call.
