Why are players STILL making deliberate striking to the head, apart from sin bins & collecting bans it all gives weight as/in continued evidence in court when proof is used against the game & the RFL. Two today in the Wigan game & two in the Fev game.
They are gambling on the inconsistency of the RL disciplinary process. There were a couple in the Leeds Cas game that I don't think were picked up at all. It wii be interesting to see what the Disciplinary panel or whatever it is called makes of it, particularly compared with earlier decisions.
I agree with you, but just to note, prosecuting lawyers for the claimants, ie plaintiffs will be rubbing their hands knowing that deliberate head contacts by perpetrators cannot be mitigated reasonably by the RFL & its game administrators + so called discerplinary systems, what ever opinions we hold as supporters, The proof is in the ongoing tactics/antics of some players !
