According to some of our media, the only English players there were the NRL ones who were at the hotel waiting for their return flights to Australia. So Dom Young, Victor the Inflictor, Tom Burgess, Luke Thompson? Thompson might be the link to Bentley being there, although it could just have been a few of the England team going back for a few post-tournament drinks and to say bye to those going back to the NRL.
It doesn't sound great, but this kind of thing will happen when you've got rugby lads and alcohol I guess. It's a concern that Wane was involved though, he should the leader in terms of behaviour in the role he's in and arguing with Bentley doesn't sound like it should have been happening. It could all be Bentley's fault, but that is what the investigation is, in theory, supposed to find out. I suspect there will be a circling of wagons and nothing comes of it, bar Bentley slipping further down Wane's list of players to pick for England. There were however a few high profile incidents during Wane's time at Wigan, the gym brawl, a glassing/bottle incident etc. Hopefully the 1980s drinking culture isn't being reintroduced to the national team setup.
Wane is lucky he's coach of the RL team and no one in the media over here cares. Can you imagine if Gareth Southgate had a drunken argument in a bar with an England player and Harry Kane ended up headbutting them? It'd be in the news for months and he'd likely be forced out of his job.

Apparently it was a ex St Helens player abusing the England coach when a current England player put said ex St helens player on his arris. Can you imagine a St Helens fan trying to turn it around so that it is a Wigan connected person who is is in the wrong, yep I know that is unbelievable.

I had an issue with Wane's selections for the WC. There were a few I didn't like, like McIllorum, Cooper and KPP. It's not because it's Wigan, it's because it's the club the national coach is employed by and I didn't think they did enough to be selected. I didn't go in on Wane here, I just said it's not a great look for him to be around that. I mentioned that there were high profile incidents of a similar nature when he coached Wigan, but there were. I love Wigan, it's fantabulous to have you back as genuine rivals again. But I still reserve the right to steam in two footed when Waney replaces McIllorum with Sam Powell for the game against France.

All media outlets are reporting Bentley was the one arguing his non-selection. Left the bar. Came back. Verbally abused Wane and Radley stood up for his coach and nutted Bentley.
Don’t really understand how the Wigan/Saints agenda comes into it. Sounds like Bentley was being an @rsehole. Which wouldn’t be the first time.
Also when the Aussie board asked what happened regarding Radley in order to issue a ban our board basically said there’s no investigation taking place. It’s done. Move on.

You should allways have the right to your opinion even if it so one sided. Basically you have had a issue with every Wigan connected selection unless they played for St Helens, you even bring up issues that are years old to get your point across.
Its ok I know you love Wigan you think about us a lot.
I would think Wane would pick Ackers over Sam as Sam wasnt even in the squad.
