Live and Free on Ourleague now.

Interesting starting line up, lots of NRL players in.

Props look weak...

From the squad which Fiji have announced for the WC, there’s a hell of a lot of quality missing from their team.

Standard England performance, a winger from Huddersfield was the best player on the pitch :)

Fiji were indeed awful. Looked completely disinterested for long periods.

Not really learnt anything about England other than Dominic Young looks a handful.

Welsby and young were quality. You have to laugh at the fact hudds rated Darnell McIntosh more than young lol

Thought the England players looked like they had the right attitude for the game, but the real test will be when they come across better sides, starting next week.
Interesting to see players from Salford in the spine, looking at the last few weeks of the season, England should be taking aspects of their play style from an underdog side like Salford, not a Saints or Wigan. Hopefully with the threequarters we had starting the match tonight growing in confidence and something different in the halves to the tried and failed Lomax and Tomkins we can catch the Samoans cold and build up nicely to the knockout phase.
Odd to play a reserve unless some of the squad are doubtful for the tournament fitness wise. Not sure if reserves can join the tournament once it has started or not ?

We had a lot missing. Think it was mostly key players and a couple from the Grand Final. Maybe to give them an extra week or so.

Thought Watkins looked good in the centres considering he hasn’t played there all season. And only Farnworth is a centre in the squad. Sooner play Watkins there than say a Bateman.

Welsby showed that he’ll be the future No 1 for England. See if this competition lights a fire under Tomkins this tournament.

Thought the props went well although I think Oledski and Lees get in the side before Hill and Cooper.

Young’s class. Yardage out of our half will be key against some of the better sides. And he can give that.

Radley looks class. More he gets settled in the more he’ll be at home.

As usual what a pile of trolling tosh. Darnell Macintosh was making his first team debut when young was still in scholarship- there’s four years between them as players. And Macintosh was at that time a FB. There was no rating one above the other.
Huddersfield saw a prospect and signed it. The lad has done what no other English outside back has managed to do- Nathan Brown /Paul Anderson saw a prospect and encouraged him- good on the lad!!!

Young couldn’t get a game because Macintosh was playing wing at the time lol
