I really hope this happens, would be fantastic for the sport in PNG.

Would be fantastic for the country in general and for the sport everywhere. But alas, that is also why it won't happen. It won't bring any money into the NRL so they won't allow it.

The NRL do what they do very well. But they'll never expand or help to spread the sport. They won't even support the international game. It's all self-interest.

NRL seem to look after their short to short medium term interest well

Internationals I guess helps things over a longer period of time and yes they seem to be forgetting about it

The exposure and interest in the South of England and Victoria etc will be so much greater if there is regular competitive international games in my view

Why would they give a PNG team a spot when they turned their back on Perth

One side from NZ isn't enough.

The NRL really should be taking hold of the international game. They need to invest in the Pacific Islands and make sure Rugby League is the dominent code.

They need to take control of the international game and fund the Pacific Island nations.

That would be great. It would be great if the Warriors weren't always so bad too. If they were challenging every year they'd be massive.
