Trinity Hold On For Crucial Win Over the Wolves
After snatching defeat from the jaws of victory last weekend, Wakefield Trinity parted company with their coach Chris Chester and welcomed Willie Poching to the helm as interim coach for the daunting visit of the high-flying Warrington Wolves.
While a win would be enough to gain the Wolves more points than St Helens they would still trail the defending champions on win percentage while a win for Trinity would see them up a place over the Salford Red Devils and snapping at the heels of the Huddersfield Giants.
Everyone expected a Warrington win with Wakefield being given a ten-point start in the coupon but sometimes a change of coach has an immediate bounce effect.

Wakefields win really confirms that Leigh will be relegated from Super League and replaced by the Championship grand final winnes as Leigh need to win at least 6 games in their remaining fixtures and that isn't going to happen

The only thing that can save Leigh from relegation is a 14 team Super League next season and I'm 99% certain that isn't going to happen.Clubs are not going to vote for less TV money

There is plenty of talk of an expanded SL next season, followed by a "cull" back down to 10 clubs. The share-out of Sky monies will certainly be interesting but, right now, anything could happen. This is Rugby League and we like to be "innovative" - this translates to "make it up as we go along 'cos we havent got a plan"

Come on mate, you know how hard it is to agree on anything across all those the clubs. Do you want a dictatorship? How would that go if Lenegan was asked to plan everything.
Anyway don't answer that, and don't be so negative, your boys have had a great win so happy times

I'll accept that view wholeheartedly. What's your 1% about?

Ok, so you've gone on long enough with your obsession with Leigh being gifted their (Super-league place) as you put it). Let's also not forget, whoever was chosen to fill that 12th spot would be in the same position, if not worse. Also, the toxic Super-league would've struggled with only 11 teams in it,so be grateful. I personally would keep well away from your toxic league, simply because it will be the usual top big 5 or 6 teams competing for prizes every season. (OH, And you're not one of them.) Anyway,It's more fun and entertaining in the championship. Can't wait to get back there to be honest.

Dexy didn't have to accept the offer, but he did. He could have been stubborn and said he wants more money and forced Super League to come up with more money to maintain a 12 team Super League, but his ego wouldn't let him. Anyway enjoy the Championship next season
