I doubt if Radio Sheffield have even heard of Rugby League.
I'm sure our Eagle friends down the road will concur with my opinion.

Personnally, I won't "back" anything the RFL wants me to until Red Hall comes to its senses regarding the franchise system. I agree with spreading the game to new areas but not at the expense of established and historic teams.

So you won't try and help rugby league because you don't like something the RFL have done?

No wonder RL is a minority sport.

My club in particularly have done very well out of local radio coverage (must have been at least 3-4 home games that were not only given full commentary, but even Radio Manchester's entire sports programme came live from the LSV) but realistically RL gets a disproportionate amount of coverage on there - certainly one of the few occasions where we actually do well as a sport out of such scenarios, but it was never going to last forever.

I think what we will see more of is 'shared' commentary, with Radio Manchester carrying the Radio Leeds commentary for, say, Leeds vs Wigan and vice-versa which shouldn't affect things too much hopefully.

Pathetic. Do you refuse to watch Super League, The Championships, Four Nations and the Challenge Cup?

Both sides of the hill would need to radically reduce the in-built bias for that to be a palatable option - although I suppose a similar situation has existed on Radio Leeds whenever Ron Hill commentates on Cas vs another W Yorks club

Compared to David Doyle-Davidson, Ron Hill is a paragon of neutrality.

Not necessarily as there are plenty of people on here who are convinced that Jack Dearden on Radio Manchester takes great delight in whenever Wigan lose
