Oh dear oh dear, it really is the sharks vs the world.

They had better hope they beat the Dragons and actually have something to have a little cheer about.

it seems it is them against the world, but i dont think much will be made of this, it could have been another player in another team. and it shouldnt affect the sponsors. All of the headlines could work for the sharks and Im going to put my head on the block and say the sharks will beat the dragoons on saturday as stuart will have them motivated into the "us against the world" mode.

Once again the sport's participants let it down.

All those who are suggesting the press are biaised against RL what are the press supposed to do - not report it?

The sport in Australia needs to get it house in order off the field - given the relatively small number of players they seem to create a host of negative publicity.

What is a real shame is this negativity is overshadowing the quality of the product on the pitch which is second to none for any club sport anywhere in the world.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Not an issue of not reporting it but how much attention the bad stories get v's the good stories and v's the way over indiscretions in other codes get treated by the media. Some of the stuff that has happened in the AFL is truly shocking but it is RL that gets hung out to dry time and again when there is the sightest sniff of controversy.

Perfect example this week where a Aleague soccer player has been charged with sex with a child yet it still got no where close to the media attention that a perfectly legal group sex session between consenting adults 7years ago is getting!

WEST COAST PIRATES

the silver lining is that at least one country treats RL players as much more important than silly soccer players

Is the A league player a household name?

Does the A league player present the most popular sports programme on TV?

Take the UK - Lethley King a soccer player here was drunk in a night club in London - it was all over the press - Ben Cockayne a RL player with Hull KR kicks a man half to death on CCTV it hardly registered in the national sports press never mind the news press.

It is the price top soccer players here pay for the high profile of the sport - sadly this appears to be the same for RL players in Aus.
