would not touch him with a bargepole.

As good a player as he has been in the past i doubt he would be up to the challenge of giving his all in a new team

If ever there was anyone who loooked like they were trying to get a pension before retiring this is it. he would be a big name signing for someone who would not really put the efoort in.

Will Probably take the 1 year deal on offer in the end and maybe retire at the end of that.

Couldn't imagine him playing for another side, and like another poster said, If he does go elsewhere It'll be for finances rather than wanting to play to help that team.

I hope he does, reading the article I don't think he wants to play for anyone else and I don't think most Saints fans would want to see him playing for anyone else. Hopefully he takes the one year on offer and then goes on to prove he is still fit enough for another year if thats what he wants.

come back to widnes for two years. but being realistic i can see him signing for wigan as a smith replacement.

There have been a few people who think Long may come to Wigan. As a Wigan fan i can't see it and don't want him tbh and really don't think he'd want to. There are just certain players who would never go to certain teams.
