anytime theres off field controversy and people wonder about the future of the sport, it delivers up some action like this weekend that reminds people why its such a popular sport.

2 fantastic games on friday.

Even the Sharks put up a decent effort against Penrith. For the so called bottom of the table side, they illustrated the epic level the NRL is at.

The NRL showed (again) why it is light years ahead of the Super League. Too quick, too powerful and too skilled.

winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

The Knights are going strong. Should make the top 4-5.

They'll need three referees next in that case.

Double the refs, double the penalties! Sick of hearing the refs whistle for nothing incidents. Penalties are huge now adays with majority of trys coming off the back of a penalty. Whilst two refs has got rid of the wrestling, it has led to a more stop start game imo. Also over the past two weeks we have seen some poor decisions, blatant mistakes, seems we need more than 4 pairs of eyes to get it right!

I tend to go along with that. In my mind, making the PTB faster can only ever lead to more penalties.
