winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

id put hunt on the bench though.

inglis, slater, folau, hodges, thurston, locker.

does the rest matter.

Hunt looks to be coming back to his form from 2 years back and I think its a very close call between the 2. Either way one should be on the bench for the utility value. As for Prince and Thurston, again very close. Prince must be doing something right though as the Titans are up there.

I agree though, what a backline whoever plays. Cant see NSW getting near this year.

Hunt or Slater will do the job just fine.

Going into the World Cup, I thought we should play Slater against the Poms and Hunt against the Kiwis. Now we obviously didn't play Hunt against the Kiwis, but based on the performances from Slater, I still feel my opinion is justified. Going by the same logic, I think Hunt would be best choice against us, especially if we're dumb enough to play Hoffman again.

Slater has certainly scored some spectacular tries against us, but his impact in Origin has always been sporadic. Hunt is more consistent.

Ballin has been pretty ordinary so far this season for me,NathanFriend will be wondering what more he can do to make the squad.

All that rugby puts hairs on your chest,
what chance have you got against a tie and a crest?

yeah if you are going on current form hunt is going better than slater.

and if it were up to me id go with prince and thurston and put lockyer on the bench. or go prince and lockyer and drop thurston.

NSW would die for these choices

and theyve still got cooper cronk waiting in the wings

it was a great try he scored though years back

probably the most attractive try ever scored at origin imo
