Saying on fox sports that Gidley to play at 6 and Mitchell Pearce 7 for Origin 1.
They must want him as captain cos Stewart is going to be full back so you'd think that Gidley would be on the bench but it says he will play at 6 to get him in the starting 13 and make him captain. What are they thinking?
Anasta is a better choice than him but surely Campese has got to be given first crack at it, i know he hasn't played origin before and Gidley and Anasta have the experience but they have lost the last 3 series with them playing. Surely it's time for a change because it's obviously not working.

Who from Fox Sports was saying this? Unless it was coming from Daley (NSW selector), I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

Daley has kept himself quiet about his thoughts for the Blues this year. A co-commentator nudged him for an insight during a game on the weekend and he fell dead silent.

Pearce, I wouldn't be surprised. He definitely won the points over Wallace the other night. I'm not sure myself, i'll keep watching him and a couple others.

Kidley should be fullback or not in the team at all. Definitely not at 5/8.

It's becoming more and more of a consensus that Campo should be in the 6 and i'm almost convinced. Would still like to see him play for Country first though.

as a born NSWman ive given up supporting the blues years ago.

im not going to make defamatory comments but i dont believe selection is based on merit

they exclude certain players and then come up with BS reasons like lack of experience, poor defence etc then go and pick mitchell pearce with zero experience because of who his dad is.

just to remind people, david peachy struggled to get into the side despite his excellent form, preston campbell never got a look in despite winning the Dall M medal, choc mundine only got a bench spot and sat there for 60 mins on until the game was hopeless he was given a chance

and finally the way nathan blacklock wasnt chosen despite any RL fan with eyes knowing he deserved his spot.

and these were the idiots that made the greatest RL player ever sit on the bench for brett kimmorley.

Who do you think will be the wingers for the first game. I wouldn't go with Turner and Quinn but who do they go with.
And what about the centres? Cooper, Josh Morris, Jennings, Monaghan, Lawrence.
