Looking on the barb website for this weeks viewing figures makes interesting reading. No surprises that RU viewing are low, but the second tier of RL is comparable to the viewing figures of top flight RU which did surprise me!!??

So why do RU get better SKY deals? Internationals?

Similary, RU seem to be struggling with the Super 14 viewing figures, they're getting itchy feet for when they've got to renew their contract.

Its all down to those lovely England Internationals in October.

They're games attract high ad revs?

Fair play to them then, anyone have the viewing figures for the October Internationals over recent years?

EDIT:- Found the SKY figures and there are no RU internationals in october on there?

Seems that the ad revenue and demographics of us flat cappers is poor.
We should take a reduced deal from the Beeb on the basis they 'update' their coverage...but then that's another argument.

Their internationals are in November, and they usually get 4-500k.

England WC games got around 260k at 8.30am, which was excellent, and pretty much higher than any SL game around.

Some Heineken Cup games get half decent figures, but they do get a lot of poor figures too.

Are the BBC going to give us two SL live games a week and one from the Championship?

No but they show the Challenge Cup to the masses

In the cloud cuckoo land that is the VT all the other broadcasters want to show Superleague (and would do better than SKY), obviously they just forget to put bids in for it whenever the contract is up for renewal.
