how about this for an idea . when at the end of the 80 minutes . its a draw . each team get 1 point each . then play golden point 5 minutes each way. the team thats scores next wins another competition point
winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

freddie, it took them 30 years just to get used to 6 tackle RL.
they still struggle with 10 m. rule.
at the way their competition is evolving they will be ready for golden point in around 20 years.
they have one idea (2refs) that appears to have solved a problem only they had and they think they can sort out all the game's issues
like i said, personally i'd bring in the golden point because i believe it's exciting...but a vast majority will be against it because they believe that if it's level after 80mins they both deserve a point..

the nrl only changes rules to benefit its own compeition
often these rules changes are not relevant to SL because frankly, its not at the same level
a big part of RL here is coaches looking to bend the rules. if it goes to far the rule makers need to step in and fix it up
the storm won both their competitions with play which is against the spirit of the rules
some would say its cheating
as a result of this "cheating" the rule makers respond
your coaches have enough difficulty with explaining the basics, without getting into the technical aspects of the game where NRL coaches are at.

I would support that idea. Botyh teams get rewarded for the 80 minutes but the team that goes the extra get an extra reward. Good for the fans

It's not fair on those teams who actually win the games in 80 minutes. It's not about being exciting, or decrying entertainment - it's the mere fact the game lasts 80 minutes, and if both teams can't win during that time. Tough.
