SOUTH Sydney could have the world's biggest coaching staff next year.
We're told former Test and Queensland Origin hero Gorden Tallis was recently sounded out by Russell Crowe to become the Rabbitohs' forwards coach.
He would join Johnny Lang and Jason Taylor in charge of the Rabbitohs. Tallis is considering the offer and will make a decision in the next fortnight.
"I'm a board member of the Cowboys and I'd have to resign from that position if I took on the Souths role,'' Tallis told us. "We'll see what eventuates.''

A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911.
