Their first home SL game should beat the record attendance.

The attendance is not important.It's all about laying foundations for the future and sowing the seeds for growth etc etc.Unless of course the gate turns out to be a very healthy one and then suddenly the attendance will be very significant after all.

The attendance is important, just not as important as laying the foundation. So basically both views are wrong (although, I assume they are both tongue in cheak!).

Hopefully they'll beat that previous record tonight but of course its the long-term that matters and hopefully they will increase each year.

Their crowds probably won't be great this year (neither were a lot of Catalans crowds in their first year) and they'll probably get a few 3/4k attendances this season especially if they get a few hidings.

Catalans first game got 11,000 and they still averaged a respectable amount. Expect it to be closer to Quins but like has been said its about 3 years.
