Hey folks some sad news to report down here in NZ about this outstanding young prospect sonny fai trying to save his younger brother from drowning at the infamous bethells beach.He is presumed dead after going missing while trying to save his brother and two others.His brother and the two others were rescured while fai was not found in the treacherous seas.Things are not looking good for him with searches called off today because of bad weather.

that is awful to hear! obviously my thoughts are with his family.
It's been a horrible year with deaths in and around the game!

I hope they find him.

What a top bloke though helping his family the way he tried.

hey guys , agree with everything thats been said in this forum. i rated sonny fai as highly as a rate manu vatuvai. such a waste, was shocked to hear about the tragic incident.
