If Australia had won It would've been the 'same old' bore.
But with NZ winning It It brings new life in the game which we all need ,and the future looks bright.

Even after the game was finnished I was telling most people that Rugby League was the winner tonight most agreed most didn't .But If your as passionate about the game as much as I am then you would agree with me that we needed the Kiwis winning,and which they did .


To see the Kiwis lifting up the trophy with a sea of black looked bloody great too.

that kiwi win was brilliant.

what was even sweeter was when people like john conelly said this WC was a waste of time, then NZ go and do something like that.

RL in australia owes a lot to nz because of alebrt baskerville and the all golds.

without those pioneers we might not have RL in australia today.

i really hope NZ gets a 2nd NRL team to take advantage of all the good kids they produce.

Wasnt Orcas the nickname of the Wellington based franchise that competed with the Gold Coast and central coast for an NRL berth? i merely thought if the NRL in the future added a second team in NZ the natural choice would be Wellington.

I think that the NRL has another target in Oz before a second franchise in Nz. They would be up to 18 teams by then, which would be pushing it.

a second nz team would add so much to rugby league in the pacific, and the rivallry with the nz warriors would be massive. god i hope we go down this path in the near future. wa reds, southern nz, central coast bears.
