more for fewer games of a competition that will not have expanded further since the last time they bought them?
We've already been told by Foxtel and others that we need greater geographical coverage yet it is ignored. Gallop's reason for not expanding "two more teams may lead to two teams dropping off"... Why? Not if they're in completely new and different markets they won't affect the others.
Luckily he's not the one who will making the decision anyway and he won't be in the job then - surely not.

i think he didnt want to admit hed signed such a poor deal last time after seeing what AFL got.
at least he pretty much admitted well be exapnding again once our TV rights go up.
more queensland teams in the nrl is fantastic.
as long as we safeguard queensland our position of dominance is safe.
shortening the season is something players want but im not sure about.
if players want a break, id stop the nrl for 3 weeks mid season with origin played on consecutive weekends in the gap which means origin doesnt overlap with the nrl and that the rest of the nrl gets a break
