It's an experimental team. It gives the likes of Tomkins and Briscoe a chance.

If anybody is going to take Paul Wellens place in the England team (come the important matches) then it's going to be Lee Smith.

I rate Briscoe highly and always have done. He has his faults, and I'm not convinced that he's International class, but he's a fine player and a great bloke.

You lost all credibility naming those three.

Radlinski was vastly over rated. he got picked because he played for the wonders of Wigan, the darlings of the media.
Steadman was a Standoff who was played at fullback due to lack of available fullbacks when on tour.
Hampson was a great leaper of a football and was reasonably quick but otherwise average.

yet you offer none that are better.

Steadman was just as good at fullback if not better than stand-off.

My point was/is that this is the weakest position in our game and has been for as long as i can remember. You by calling these players average are just backing up my point
