Regardless of the who told whom first and what their reply was as another debate, Mr Spence really doesn't come across as an awfully bright chap does he.

Quote:RFL spokesman Craig Spence says that Sky have not broken the terms of their contract.

"Sky Sports has the right, under its contract with the RFL, to choose any game it wants to broadcast on TV," he said.

"The contract states it must give four weeks' notice to the RFL and the clubs on which fixtures it wants to broadcast.

"In this case it has given six weeks. Unfortunately, it has caused a bit of inconvenience with the supporters and we apologise for that."

Spence also made it clear that there is little room for manoeuvre once Sky have given notice that they want to screen a game.

"We'd have to give Sky Sports a very legitimate reason why this game couldn't be changed," he said. "At six weeks' notice, people can change flights. They can change their hotel bookings.

"I appreciate that there is a cost involved in that and we apologise for the inconvenience but, at the end of the day, they've given us the notice.

"You could say that Harlequins are a victim of their own success because Sky Sports believe the fixture against the Catalan Dragons will be a great spectacle for TV."

Quins / Success, not normally two words strung together

Sarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them.

7 pages and it took you this long to come up with that gem, what's the matter could you not get the crayon out of your nose any faster?

:D Quality

I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

Kumquat.

Brilliant...

Anyway I feel for Quins fans, we booked our trip to Toulouse a few months ago and have prayed that our game doesn't get shifted to a thursday (not likely in our league tho)..

Ultimate kiss of death

Our kick off time got shifted forward in Toulouse so, although it didn't cause a problem for me, it didn't make the margins of error that much tighter for those flying out on the day of the game etc.
