No he didnt, what ever happened has nothing to do with his job, especially when he wasnt even employed by them when the incident took place. It wasnt illegal, however it was unacceptable behaviour, but that doesnt mean you deserve to lose your job. Its got nothing to do with League, many guys in that situation would take advantage. None of those would lose there jobs...

He lost his job because of the media storm and show last week. If it hadnt of got out in that way, nothing would of changed even if channel 9 had known about it. Yes he lost his job becuase of the negative publicity which is unfair... When the other names come out, do you think they will lose there jobs??? No, because they are not high profile anymore.

As for your last point. Many organisations would terminate the contract of an employee who's behaviour - past or present - is inconsistent with the values of the business and / or bring the organisation into disrepute. Andrew Johns was one of the best tacklers in the game.

He was not even employed by Channel 9 at the time but by the Sharks. So yes, I do think he is being harshly treated for being fired from his job for behaving in a totally legal fashion prior to his present employment.

Again though you are confusing your own morals with the legal situation. Johns did nothing illegal. You believe his 'moral compass' is totally skewed because he partook in group sex. This is clearly based on YOUR understanding that sex should not take place in groups, especially not with indivduals who are married.



Clearly the guy was drunk, had some tart throw herself at him, and he decided to take her back to the rugby lads for all to see! Now, this is obviously a little of the weird side (in my opinion). However, it is not illegal. If someone wishes to do this, then fine. Moreover, it is not something to sack someone over.

But since when have employees decided on what they believe is consistent with their 'values' vis-a-vis legal sexual behaviour? If a player was fired for being homosexual, as it was not consistent with the 'values' of the said club. one could only imagine the up roar by the moral police on here!
