Dear, oh, dear, we're not telling you what we know because it is, of course, confidential. But when people speculate wildly, dressing this up as 'the blindingly obvious', we might step in just to correct such idle thinking.

It's confidential but they had no issue in telling you.

If you have known someone personally for many, many years, and have shared confidences with them over many issues, and they know and trust you enough because you have earned that trust, then they will, when appropriate, share interesting facts. Are you telling me that there is no-one in your life with whom you have such a relationship?

Loads of people yes but none of them have ever told me how much money one of their employees earns.

So which one of the 5 people that would know how much Inglis earns is your mate? Someone in the marketing team wouldn't know. Someone in the club shop wouldn't know. Someone in the ticket office wouldn't know. The cleaner wouldn't know and TBH the players will probably not know.
