If you want to compete at a higher level in a national league you may have to play teams other than the parish down the road.

If you aren’t up for it, step down to a regional level

You are amazing. You should run the sport!

That would really help with expansion eh?

Im don’t think it would help expansion, im in favour of as many clubs as possible playing at as a high a level as possible, but if a club cannot function at the level it is it needs to take a step down. If there are clubs in CC1 who cant function in a national semi-pro competition then they shouldn’t be in a national semi-pro competition.

Is Northamptons inclusion going to be the end of Coventry getting in Championship 1 for 2013? I would of thought the Coventry bid would have been a lot more worthwhile.

There are another three clubs and the Bears have just signed a new contract at the Butts so I don't see why they both can't be included - a bit of a local derby would certainly help both clubs, I think.

Another SL fan who knows what's best for CC/CC1 RL.
Why drop down because the RFL in their wisdom are moving the goalposts?

Why should they have a local derby? Doncaster don't have one, unless you count Rochdale.

They aren’t moving the goalposts. The Championships have never been a regional league.

You're forgetting that I support Leigh, where our only non-Yorkshire away game this season is taking place at our own stadium!

Fair enough then let's put four teams from Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Cornwall into SL and see how they go. Oh and while we are at we'll stop the Sky money just to even things up.

Would definitely be good to have both clubs in there. I can see Rugby League being a success in Coventry especially given that the Football team are struggling, city could do with a successful team.
