In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

first one that comes to mind is ellery hanley - you want to be the best then its a 100% 24/7 thing. no alcohol surely is a sacrifice worth making to play pro rl? sorry but booze is no excuse. these guys are heroes to kids and should behave with a modecombe of respect to both themselves and their wage payers

Arguments to both sides IMO. You could say how good might he have been if not off his head 5 days a week. On the other hand though he might need these highs to make him such a good player. Either way everyone is different and I don't think it affects your body anyway as a 20 odd year old. Its when they grow older that they will notice what the lifestyle is doing to them.
