but you are thoroughly correct, the sydney RL clubs crowds are struggling

the bunnies are only expecting 20,000 this friday night as well.

and the dogs are averaging 20,000

very poor figures, we should be ashamed

The Waratahs averaged 25/26000 last year (admittedly down on previous years), the Roosters wasn't that high at all.

I'm not saying we should be ashamed at all, its good to read that the NRL is sorting itself out. The problem is when you pick and choose figures to illustrate your point that somebody could easily do in reverse to RL.

Your point is a good one, people in NZ appear disillusioned with Union and League is on a high. However you can't prove this with isolated crowd figures where you ignore the big crowds and only mention the small.

There's a long way to go but inroads are being made.

Can you point something out that I said that isn't true?

Being a good RL fan isn't about lying to yourself or ignoring the facts.

winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Comparing the state union team to the clubs in Sydney. What'll you do when the Sydney clubs are attracting bigger crowds than the Tahds? Will you start comparing the Sydney clubs to the Wannabies...

Union will never be taken over by league in the pacific or NZ...

Majors hurdles facing this, the shambolic RLIF and NZRL. Once you sort this, then you can start dreaming.
