THE NRL match review committee has acted swiftly in the crackdown on wrestling, issuing five charges under the newly created dangerous conduct category from weekend games.
Melbourne's Jeff Lima, Parramatta pair Weller Hauraki and Nathan Hindmarsh and Penrith duo Trent Waterhouse and Michael Jennings were the first players slapped with the charge in 2009.
But of the five players only Hauraki faces any time on the sidelines as the other four received grade one charges and can escape with just 75 carryover points with an early guilty plea.
Hauraki however was slapped with a grade two offence for unnecessary head or neck contact in the 44th minute of their loss to the Warriors and will receive 187 points, a one week ban, with an early guilty plea.
Jennings was also ruled to have made unnecessary contact with the head or neck.
Lima, Hindmarsh and Waterhouse were charged for 'chicken wing' style tackles by applying unnecessary pressure to the arm or shoulder.
