I have to say, I feel sorry for Lowes.


I mean, he really shouldnt have been given the job, but like anyone, he took the opportunity.

And he walked into a bad situation, he was on a hiding to nothing.

He might be a good assistant coach for someone, but you have to learn to walk before you can run.

Coaching aside, the culture at Warrington needs to change.

On 'Boots 'n All' last night Paul Cullen seemed to imply that Warrington's problems went deeper than the coaching staff. Which is what a number of people have been saying here for some time.

Cullen would say that though woudnt he - it excuses years of woeful underperformance on his part.

At the end of the day, Cullen was in charge for 8 years (or so), and brought in most of the current squad. He could have removed the disruptive influences on the playing staff, nobody else.

It was an impossible task for a rookie like Lowes to turn round overnight.

Bringing in a coach/Director of Rugby with a history of being a disclipnarian is a start.

When are you planning to start running?
