Union has easily overtaken league in this country from a spectators point of view. More skilful and more exciting

SL is like watching a bunch of under 8s having their first training session together having never played the game before.

Watching Hull KR last night was akin to watching a slapstick comedy. All it needed was some benny hill music

The standard year on year is declining. People like Rimmer are in denial when they think simply changing the structure to 10+10 will halt the decline.

The skill level on display is simply not good enough.

The game continues to lose forwards to the NRL but they have no interest in full backs or half backs as the sport doesn't produce world class players in those positions.

When I was but a lad a lot of Rugby League was played in schools that fed straight to clubs junior and intermediate teams, when I grew older BARLA came along and a lot of amateur RL was played, in fact there was an explosion of it.

Then in later years all forms of Rugby and Football declined rapidly. Today not a lot of people play RU or RL. 2 x 10 is not Rimmers invention it's Lenegan's.......

The standard is declining but the blame can't be put on anyone "in charge" wether JJB or Ralph Rimmer, it's just social change........

Does the Premiership maintain high levels of skill and excitement through selecting only English players? Even they have to import talent in droves nowadays....

And Rugby Union has now brought in the equivalent of a 40:20 to STOP their aimless kicking!!

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Tell me something. Why is the in goal area so deep in Union ?
I presume its so that the endless kicks dont do dead, as it's sure as hell not to have a larger area for tries to be scored

Only pit town dwelling, chip on shoulder rugba leeg fans call it Yawnion.

The english national team can beat any other national team on the day. They have enough talent in the ranks that each year the personnel changes.

The english rugby league team has had the same players for about 5 years now as there is no one else good enough.
