I don't know, was it?

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

maybe its time for him to retire, if a boxer got knocked out like that they would be advised to. fair play to him when it happened he carried on playing for a while and that takes guts. before it happened he was the best prop in the world in my opinion and a player most clubs would have wanted in there side. maybe he peaked to soon, most props peak later he peaked early.

I look on with sadness at the rapid decline of Stuart Fielden but i have to ask what has the great Brian Noble done to enhance his game ?

has he developed an offload after 10 years of SL - no
does he provide his side with great go-forward - no
can he bust a tackle anymore - no
why does his momentum go backwards as he approaches the defence ?

I don't believe his career is over but he has become stale playing under such a poor coach, he needs to change clubs and fast to save his career. He needs a coach who can identify these areas to rebuild his game.

You know I've always been a dreamer

I think he should be given a bit more slack when being penalised as he see's 3 of everything.

His only redeeming feature is that now, when he gets smashed by another prop, he doesnt mouth off when he plays the ball like he used too, because now, everyone knows hes soft.

I agree with this, I would have had him at Saints when Wigan signed him, now though he wouldn't even get on the bench at Saints.

Wigan let Hargreaves go so they could keep hold of Fielden, I think Saints got the better deal.

Something wrong at Wigan IMO and I think you have to start with Noble.

Have to agree.

Fielden is nowhere near the player he once was and as has been said the Mason incident seems to have been a key issue.
