Here we go, it didn't take long did it......................

Newsnight 13th May 2010: "With the role of Deputy Prime Minister a non-job. Has Nick Clegg gone from King Maker to tea maker????"

I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew
Between the wars

Not wanting to state the obvious, but I guess the point is:

Consistency?
Hypocrisy?
Short Memory?

You choose.............

I mean it was such a disgraceful act that you were all on here complaining about it after the match on Saturday.

Oh wait, no you weren't.

No ban for Smith(for a worse incident) automatically must mean no ban for Tomkins.................but then again theres no grand final for Tomkins to play in next week(can i be the first to say nor is there likely to be for a while) so the RFL won't need as big a set of balls to ban him.

The guy was trying to get up. It was nothing more than an accident,

Really. Get a grip.

You can't accidentally kick someone in the face when your foot is 4/6 feet off the floor, there really isn't much earth up there for the feet to connect with.

He meant it, but it wasn't particularly savage so he'll probably just get a warning letter.

I really think this has been blown out of proportion. On TV it looked at bit careless at worst, just a young enthusiastic lad trying to get up quickly and not thinking. Nothing more nothing less. Warning letter sufficiant

There was clearly intent, that is quite plain, I've seen players sent off / sin binned for less than that. There was no need to kick up that high unless he wanted to hurt Sculthorpe. Dangerous, nasty play that could have ended up much worse than it did.

I thought it looked accidental. Tomkins' foot was lifted that high by the back of Sculthropes head and he kicked out as most players do in the tackle. It was unfortunate, but I don't think it was intentional.

He kicked that high because that's where he leg was as a result of Sculthorpe lifting it up. :?
