He has failings in his game (he is probably the worst running S-O in SL), he should be embarrassed about his fitness and an awful attitude,
a fantastic player would be at the top of his game for 5-6 years minimum, not the 6months that Paul Cooke has managed in his career
Thats your opinion for what it's worth, which is no more or less valid than mine. I actually think Cooke is one of the most natural footballers in the game and a fantastic player when he wants to be, that is my opinion. The fact that he can't be bothered to reach his true potential is not relevent However as I clearly stated his attitude stinks, which is why he has all the failings you mention and is not the player he should or could be.
Finally to rectify your massive contradiction - with the attitude Cooke has then clearly he must be a very talented if he can stray into being a good player - even occasionally. There are players in RL who have the perfect attitude and fitness levels who never even manage to be be as good as Cooke is on his good days.
I hope you manage to get my point without this ending up in one of your tedious quotathons - I really don't have enough heartbeats left for that.

If my Auntie had balls she would be my uncle.
There are players who dont come close to having the natural abilty of Paul Cooke who go on to be much better players than Paul Cooke simply because they are fitter and have a better attitude.
Could Paul Cooke have been a fantastic player maybe, not in my opinion but maybe, i still think he naturally very slow, and in this day and age an intelligent defence can nullify his threat safe in the knowledge he is never going to be able to run at them or take them on, however fit he is
is he a fantastic player? no, he isnt close, imo he doesnt have the natural attributes for it, doesnt have the heart for it, isnt professional enough, probably isnt intelligent enough, and hasnt built on his game from the last decent run of form he had which was nigh on 3 years ago now. Had it not been for his controversys he would barely merit a mention
